American Airlines and beyond – Nicholas Bredimus

Hailing from New Jersey, Mr Nicholas Bredimus examined airlines, software, and hospitality together and energized all three areas of business. His career highlights include effort-saving software, airplane safety advancements, and even the design of high value houses. And, in all cases, his passion shines through. Glancing at Nicholas Bredimus’ family tree you can easily discern he was certain to reach the top. Drawn together from many nationalities, his kindred can be traced to classical times, with his mother’s side predominantly German and Scottish. Luxembourg and England, meanwhile, provided the source for Bredimus’ father’s family, though during the 1800s they came to America.

Naturally, after emigration to America, they continued their drive and resolve to thrive and survive. Nicholas, who would grow up with his sisters and brothers, was born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his wife, a practicing nurse. His residences for many years saw him based across four states. Nicholas has stepped up to the challenge of prominent roles for businesses across the airline sector – most of them huge names. Mr Bredimus rose to the rank of Vice President with corporations like Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest, and Republic Airlines. But above all the airline industry has had reason to thank him for his work in software design.

He is most recognized for a project for US Airways, his airplane maintenance management applications which are now used by most air travel companies. He went on to develop numerous other computerized solutions for the hotel and airline sectors both before and after, including completely automatic routines to take and record flight reservations, used by fifty or more firms, as well as the original room booking program using Windows in use in the hotel industry, the launch for which was a major event at more than 700 locations. Still innovating, he produced a networking program to automate ticketing – another first for his resume. Notwithstanding that this was undoubtedly his forte, Nicholas Bredimus also often worked in areas not connected to software. In his own company – Bredimus Systems – overseeing IT for American Express, and as the founding president of AMR Travel Services his performance is impeccable.
